Goodnight One Solar and Battery Storage Farm

Sustainable energy practices helping preserve our planet

Our Vision

To collaborate with professionals across diverse industries all over the world in developing energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and high-quality clean energy projects. We are committed to integrating with local cultures, respecting local communities, and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships. Through our efforts, we aim to expand access to clean energy, reduce reliance on traditional energy sources, and mitigate their negative impact on the environment and climate.

Project Information

Goodnight One Solar and Battery Storage Farm has a capacity of 200MW, generating the energy to power in excess of 90,000 homes annually.  It is located at 592 Nielsons Road, Good Night in the Wide Bay Burnett Region.

The solar farm will use tracker solar photovoltaic panels to generate up to 160MW of electrical energy.

The 200MW consolidated lithium-ion battery energy storage system is composed of individual batteries and inverters. The Battery Storage Facility is capable of both storing and exporting electrical energy and is electrically connected to the national grid (via a switch station).

The battery system is both an electricity generator (when it exports electricity) and a load (when it imports from the grid). In this way, the battery and substation work together to regulate electricity as well as switch the voltages up and down to smooth the supply of electricity and provide stability and system strength to the Powerlink 275kV transmission grid.

Powerlink’s 275kV transmission line currently traverses the site via an existing power easement.

This project includes a high-voltage switch yard and will integrate electrical output into a single output.  It will distribute that power to the electricity transmission network within the Powerlink easement.

It will contain power transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, disconnectors, power conditioning equipment, other connection infrastructure including measurement and switching equipment, termination structures, control room and other equipment, as well as associated control, protection, and communications systems for the safe operation of the power station.
